these 2 weeks, was really a good experience.

i got to know new people,

let me be the first to share my experience xD

well,

its kind of a good experience,
in the sense that you really learn a lot on how to relate with them.
you get to see all sorts of children.
Attention seeking, rowdy, fighting boys, even crybaby(who is a boy?)
while others are just quiet.

yup.

its kinda hard to handle them during group stuff.

but you'll get used to it (:

shall not reveal too much,

but before i start,
just want to remind all of you about something

now about the HIS connection.

im copying and pasting the whole thing but also will try to summarise it.)

so here it is (:


HIS CONNECTION

Tomorrow, the 18th of November, you all will start helping out with Hisconnection. Basically, you guys just need to help Aunty Joanne with taking care of the kids.

Firstly, there are 44 children, where they've been split into 4 groups of 12 each. So there will be 21 of you(out of the whole sec 2 zone. NOT JUST OUR CELL.) , which are also split into 4 groups.

Our job would be to take care of each group and to help out the leader of that group (which will be a P5) in managing the group. We will be considered the kor kors and the jie jies of the centre so we will need to set an example for the kids. WHICH MEANS, no chit chatting amongst yourself in one corner, no vulgarities of course, have fun with them but don't bully them! above all, do not lose your temper and scold them unnecessarily ok because it will affect them.

Aside from that, the rest of you guys (apart from the 21) will be involved in other ways which will be clarified in the later dates. but generally, the centre will need help with christmas decor, presents and other things so your jobs would be to help them out in that area but we will group and inform you all soon.

the first 4 whom we have chosen to go to the centre for tomorrow would be Matthias, Ian, Limin, Sarah Choy. So the 4 of you'll need to be there tomorrow, wednesday, thursday from 9 am to 4 pm. is it ok with you?

for this first week, the kids will be decorating the centre with graffiti art. basically, they will be painting and drawing etc. so please bring a set of old clothing for yourself and if you have, bring some old clothings for the kids too. The painting will last till 1 - 2 pm, afterwhich, the kids will start doing their homework. your job is to help the children with the work and the explain to them when necessary. Then that should be the end of the first week! (all 3 days) Lunch and tea will be provided so don't worry. (:


So. James talked about the 4 groups, out of the 21 chosen right?

BELOW ARE THE GROUPINGS (:

The first names are the leaders and you will be the ones to organize the group. so please forward this email to them or inform them or something so that they know, organize them.

Ian's group: dylan, sarah tan, lester, becky.
Limin's group: cedric toh, kexin, daryl, joyce.
Sarah choy's group: alicia, chee yeo, shiang lin, vivian
Matthias' group: gloria, daniel/solomon, zong xun and adriel/olivia

Each group will take 1 group assigned to you and you will rotate every week so that everyone gets a chance to interact with the kids. the first week's 4 have been chosen already but he will need us to organize ourselves so that he'll know who is going down on which week.

So the first four to go on the first week again, would be MATTHIAS, SARAH CHOY, LIMIN AND IAN

i was thinking about having different roles in the cell.

EG:

-Hospitality I/C:
=>initiates to welcome people,encourage people to welcome the new-comer.
-IceBreaker I/C:
=>plan games(that is if we have time.)
-Birthday I/C:
=>plans birthdays
-Cell Bonding I/C:
=>works closely with the leaders to plan our cell bondings.
-Blog I/C:
=>aka admin. To blog regular updates in our cell blog.
-Prayer I/C:
=>when there is prayer requests sent by cell members(which we are starting a prayer chain soon.), this role will initiate to pray.
-Camp I/C:
=>this role is just kinda slack(to me). ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO GO FOR CAMPS!
-Activity I/C:
=>different from Cell Bonding I/C. This role plans activities outside church and cell bondings. Eg: study groups;movie etc.
=>This role can also try to plans for the zone if possible.
-Treasurer:
=>collects money for cell fund(more updates will be on this.)
-Encourager:
=>Encourages The Cell/A Cell member when attempts to give up, be it studies/walk with God.

and etc.

i can't really think of more alr.

you can create your own Roles.

As long as it is not ridiculous.

HAHA.
